چکیده

مقاله حاضر به دو پرسش اساسی پاسخ می دهد: الگوهای استفاده از تلویزیون های ماهواره ای فارسی زبان در میان مخاطبان تهرانی کدامند؟ منشا یا خاستگاه اجتماعی این الگوها کدامند؟ برای پاسخ گویی به این سوالات از سنت پژوهشی « استفاده و رضامندی رسانه ای» ‍ با رویکردی ساختاری- فرهنگی استفاده شد. اعضای نمونه تحقیق (400 بیننده تلویزیون های ماهواره ای) بر اساس روش نمونه گیری گلوله برفی در شهر تهران انتخاب شدند. تحلیل عاملی انجام شده بر روی 60 نوع انگیزه یا دلیل برای استفاده از این تلویزیون ها به شناسایی 10 عامل منجر شد. آزمون همبستگی عامل های بدست آمده (به عنوان متغیر های وابسته) با متغیرهای مستقل نشان داد که مفهوم پردازی «بلاملر» یعنی مفهوم تاثیرات هنجاری ناشی از فرایند جامعه پذیری و مفهوم فرصت های زندگی توزیع شده به لحاظ اجتماعی که منجر به استفاده مکمل یا جبرانی از رسانه ها می شود به خوبی الگوهای استفاده از تلویزیون های ماهواره ای فارسی زبان در تهران را توضیح می دهد. بر این اساس افراد مختلف با نقش های مختلف به این تلویزیون ها روی می آورند و از آن ها برای مقاصد مختلفی استفاده می کنند. همچنین الگوی غالب استفاده از این تلویزیون ها به تسهیل یا تکمیل ارتباطات و پیوندهای اجتماعی مربوط می شود تا به جبران این ارتباطات و پیوندها.
